Crimson By: Daniel Brakke, “Apple” Pizano, Martin Rodriguez Introduction: Crimson Tsuki was born to a poor family, in a country named Galean. This country is large, with large forests, large clear lakes, and golden plains. His parents were killed when he was an infant, and another family found him. His new parents were kind to him, though they never told him he was not theirs. In Galean, Omagos was the source of power and magic, and passed through families, usually royal. Crimson was an odd case. For a few years, Crimson lived a lavish life of luxury, since his new family was rich. This family lives in the capital city of Merison, where they are powerful political figures. When Crimson turned six, he was sent of to the most prestigious school for children with Omagos, The University of Merison for Omagos, where he was taught how to use his power. When he was twelve, Crimson was murdered while traveling to his uncles house a few days away from Merison. Chapter 1: Forgotten Past “Let’s get this started” A man says. His voice was silky smooth, but distant. He is clothed in brown robes, covering his head down to his feet. There are 12 others like him. They were in a circle, with the speaker in the middle, the body of a young boy at the mans feet. The man said a few words in an odd language, and green runes and lines appeared in the ground, glowing in the night. The man him self started to glow a flame-red. The man said a few more words, and, raising his arms, a pillar of red and green light appeared, the base being the man and the boy. Shortly after, the boy sat up, rubbing his head. “Wha-What happened?” The boy asked, his voice high “You live.” The man replies. “Who goes there?!” Some one yells. The circle of men in robes turn towards the intruder. The intruder was a portly man, his hair thinning and gray. He was holding a torch and a sword. There were young men behind him, all with swords. “We are none of your business, old man.” Said one of the men in the circle. “You’re on my land, so who you are and what you do is my business.” Said one of the young men. “And besides that, this is in my town, so it matters to me what you do.” Said the old man, obviously the mayor of a nearby town. The man in the middle of the circle said a few words in the odd language, and a stream of flame-red light shot from out from the man and formed creatures, varying in shape and size. “So you know Omagos,” Said another young man from behind the mayor, “so do I.” And he said a few odd words, and ice-blue colored creatures rose from the ground. The creatures ran at one another, the red attacking the blue, and the groups of men ran at one another, bolts of different colors lighting up the night, swords swinging and slicing. Amid the chaos, the mayor wound his way to the boy laying on the ground, frozen in terror. “It’s ok, come with me now.” Said the mayor calmly and quietly, his arms outstretched to the boy. The boy, not knowing what else to do, gets up and goes with the old man. As they sneak away, the small battle rages, many bolts of different colors lighting the dark night, like lightning from the ground. A few hours later, the young boy was laying asleep soundly in a soft bed in the old mans house. “He’s so young.” The old man to his wife, of equal age, who nodded. “What were those men doing to him?” She asked Her husband shrugged “I don’t know, the runes they were using, and the Learstes, were odd and powerful. I could feel the power of them here, though they were an hour or so away.” He let out a short and hesitant chuckle “Good thing I had the horse and cart ready.” A few hours later, the sun began it’s slow rise, casting shades of pink and red onto the few clouds, and Kizt, the mayor, was eating a light breakfast with his wife. “I wonder how he is.” Kizt said idly, meaning the boy from the night before. His wife shrugged and got up, finished. “I’ll go check on him.” She said, and headed upstairs where there was a spare bedroom and the boy lay on the bed. When Belyshy, Kizt’s wife, opened the door to the spare bedroom, the young boy was sitting on the edge of the bed. He was dressed in a red cotton vest over a black shirt, with black wool pants Before: Neutral, rich. Resurrected boy forgets past, found by a mayor who raises him.
